
Tornado warning issued for Arapahoe and Elbert counties
The National Weather Service in Boulder has issued a tornado warning for portions of Arapahoe and Elbert counties Wednesday.
The affected area is west of Interstate 70 along the border of the two counties. NWS encourages those who are in the area to take cover.

Shortly before the tornado warning was issued, severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect in Arapahoe, Elbert and Lincoln counties, NWS reported. The earlier warnings included the chance of golf ball-sized hail and 50- to 60-mph winds.
