Toddler wandering Aurora street alone is hit by car and suffers minor injuries
A toddler wandering a street alone in Aurora was injured early Saturday morning when she was hit by a car.
The girl, who has been reunited with her parents, suffered “minor injuries,” according to police. She was found at about 3:34 a.m. “in the middle” of South Chambers Road near East Ohio Avenue.
The incident was not a hit-and-run and the girl wandered out of her home after the family had gone to bed, police said.
“This is an opportunity for everyone to remember to ensure your doors are locked and also install a lock out of the reach of kid,” police said on social media.
