Denver weather: Slight chance of rain expected Thursday and Friday ahead of hot weekend

The National Weather Service expects conditions to be mostly clear and sunny on Thursday and Friday ahead of a weekend forecast calling for temperatures just shy of 100 degrees.

Thursday’s forecast calls for sunny conditions with about a 40% chance of rain after noon and a high of about 88.

Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 62. Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service, will be mostly clear with about a 20% chance of rain.

Friday looks mostly clear and sunny with a high of 92. There’s a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday.

Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of 65.

Both Saturday and Sunday look sunny and hot, with precipitation being unlikely. Saturday’s high will be about 97 and Sunday’s will be about 98.

Sunday night is thought to have the potential for rain, which will continue into Monday.
