Denver weather: High chance of rain and thunderstorms Thursday

Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 86 degrees and a likely chance of showers after 3 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, there is about a 50% chance of rain on Thursday before midnight.

Winds could gust as high as 21 mph and temperatures are expected to drop to an overnight low of 59 degrees.

A rainy end to the week is in store, with heavy precipitation expected throughout Colorado — particularly in the high country.
